The belt made of thick cowhide with brass buckle and strap end is decorated with silk thread embroidery. The simple embroidery of interlocking waves is based on finds from Schleswig (Schnack 1998) and Kolobrzeg (Wywrot- Wyszkowska 2008). The colours are my interpretation. This method of decoration is typical for the 13th and the first half of the 14th century, echoes of this trend can be found in the second half of the 14th century as well.
Both the buckle and the strap end are based on finds from London and, according to the maker's information, can be dated between 1250 and 1350.
